Flowers are talking

Many legends, myths and fairy-tales are connected with the flowers. When I was a child, I was dreaming to live in a wonderful flower garden like Herda did. I liked to imagine flower's beauty, their touching aromas. My dream did not come true, but at least it caused strong interest in flowers and their symbols.
One of the most desirable flowers in the world is considered to be a rose. Of course, tastes differ, but nearly all the women prefer roses in comparison with chamomiles or lilacs. Why roses? Greek Goddess Aphrodite loved many men in her long life, but the dearest man was handsome and cute Adonis. Once he took part in a hunt, and dying animal killed him in a very sudden way. Aphrodite made a magic flower in honor of her young beloved. This flower was passionate, bright and sweet. It was a rose. Even now, a rose means passion and love. But it differs in color. For example, white roses are given to the young women or to the women you wish to have serious relationship in the future. As for dark roses like scarlet or purple ones, they are more common for a lady you know for a long time and they say that you really love this woman. But in different countries a flower of love is different. For example, an English man would present a forget-me-not rather than a rose to say that he feels something more than friendship.
Yellow flowers have two meaning and they differ in different parts of the world. In Asia yellow means richness. It symbolizes the sun as a brightest and hottest star. In Western countries they mean jealousy and betray. As for me I like positive interpretation more than the last one.
Pink flowers are created for the people with romantic and thin soul. They express touching and caring attitude to a person. Orange means optimistic attitude to you.
At the wedding ceremony it is important to present bright colorful flowers – white, yellow, pink. If you are going to visit a house where a child was born, it is worthy to bring some bouquet as well. For example, for a baby-boy you can bring blue, violet flowers, for a baby-girl – pink, white, red, yellow. To visit a mother-in-low you can choose "serious" flowers for her – lilies, chrysanthemums, as for a young bride – she is to receive half opened flowers of any color.
Unfortunately in the modern world the language of the flowers is left without attention. This art is nearly forgotten and only the florists know what flowers mean and what flower is better to present. And perhaps a person you are going to present a bouquet does not know the language of flowers.
So, sometimes it is not worthy to pay much attention to this item. But, when you are going to buy flowers, simplest knowledge could ease the things.
