Sometimes a presented game is meant for children of older age, and the parents are to give it to a child in an appropriate time and age.
When you buy a toy for a child, look it over. It has to be clear, without strange smell, easy to wash. The games are better to choose taking into consideration their upbringing and developing characteristics. The presents are divided in accordance with the sex criteria beginning since four-year age. Usually it is not used to give money to a child telling him "buy something for you". It is better to go to a shop with a child and choose something with him.

Anyway in spite of any etiquette our grandmothers and grandfathers are too kind and love their grandchildren so dearly that they do not consider giving money to children like something harmful. So, it is ok as they are the relatives and they can discuss it in the circle of the family. But if you are a strange person (a far relative), it is better to make such presents that can not break inner family traditions and customs.
If you are going to a birthday party of a child or any other event in a kid's life, and you know that there are some kids in a family, do not forget to purchase something symbolic to every child in a family. You will look like kind Santa Klaus, but the parents will accept you as a very polite person. Everybody is happy.
Looking at the things from other side, for example, when a new child is born in a family, there are some traditions as well. In the early childhood children are more open and more communicative. To develop these seeds of future character, please your child, give him some warm words or show your interest and delight. Be sure that a child will remember this warmth in many years and will tell you "thanks".
